Click the green “get started now” button to be taken to the next step if you’re starting fresh without a domain name. This is the screen where we’ll choose your domain name. This is an important step because it will be the domain name for your website. Make sure that it is catchy and relevant to your business. The best practice is to make sure that there are no hyphens in the domain name. Domain names without a hyphens tend to do better than those with hyphens. Once you’ve chosen the domain name, click the next button. Another option on this page is to transfer your domain from an existing domain provider. This section is extremely important for setting up your account. Here is a little tip for you; The more months you sign up for that one time, the cheaper your per month cost will be. If you know that you were going to be hosting your website for a long time then it is a good idea to go ahead and pay for the three years at one time because you will save a decent amount of money. The set up fee and the domain registration fee are both free with a new account. I would highly recommend purchasing the Domain Whois Privacy as well as the site backup Pro. These options are extremely important and worth the small amount of money that they actually cost. Sitelock domain security means that no one can find your information such as your home address. Site Backup Pro keeps your WordPress site backed up in case of an emergency or something happens or becomes corrupted. Bluehost is extremely secure and I wouldn’t worry about this anyway but the extra security is worth the small fee. This is mainly for protection against yourself, in case you install a bad plugin or completely erase parts of your database by mistake.

Finish filling out your billing information such as your card type your credit card number expiration date and the security code on the back of your card. However you set up your billing information now is how Bluehost will auto bill you in the future. However you can change this at any time later bye going into your account settings and going to the billing section. Confirm that you’ve read the user terms of service and all of their other policies and agreements and click the next button.
